Occupational Therapy Services

At Shoreline, we deliver OT that supports self-regulation, daily life skills, and sustainable independence for kids and teens navigating increasing demands at home, school, and in the community. Our sessions are collaborative and coaching-centered: we work with caregivers (and the child/teen) to build practical strategies you can use between sessions, not therapy "performed on” the child.

* Collaborative sessions (caregiver participation expected; real-life carryover)
* Teen-focused independence coaching (skill-building + systems that stick)
* Self-regulation strategies (calming, alerting, recovery,
pacing)
* Sensory needs support (sensory profile, tools,
environmental adjustments)
* Low-demand, autonomy-supportive approach (consent-
based, non-coercive)
* Executive functioning supports (initiation, transitions, time,
organization)
* ADL/IADL supports (hygiene, laundry, meals/snacks,
backpack/locker systems)
* Community participation planning (outings, appointments,
activities, travel practice)
* Home setup recommendations (function-first organization,
sensory-friendly spaces)
* Feeding/eating support (when relevant)
* Assistive tools/technology for daily routines (timers, visual
supports, apps)
